We now present you with a few railroad oriented games that are out there. But first, we'ld like to tell you about one you can create yourself....

Guilfordopoly....

As you can already tell from the title, this is a spoof of that age old favorite Monopoly. All you need to do is go out and get a game of Monopoly and get out your paints and dry transfer lerttering. You then set about the task of re-decorating the game board and cards to better reflect today's hostile business situations. Here's what you do:

Start by re-naming the properties and title cards as follows--

• Income Tax--Pay 20% or $400

• Reading RR to D&H RR

• Electric Company to PSNH (Public Service of NH)

• Pennsylvania RR to Maine Central RR

• Free Parking to 'T' Parking; pay amount shown on dice.

• B&O RR to B&M RR

• Ventnor Ave. to Causway St.

• Marvin Garden to Boston Garden

• Short Line RR to Springfield Terminal RR

• Park Place to Park Plaza

• Increase Luxury Tax to $175

Re-write Chance cards--

• Go to Jail; add 'The railroad cops got you!'

• General Repairs ; Change to $50 per house and $200 per hotel

• Elected Board Chairman; 'Pay Each Player $100 hush money'

• Go Back 5 spaces; Change to 'Roll dice and go back amount shown'

• Take a Ride...; Change Reading to B&M

Re-write Community Chest cards--

• Xmas fund matures; change to $500

• Life Insurance; change to $1000

• Pay Hospital; change to $500

• You inherit; change to $1000

• You are assessed; $400 per house, $1150 per hotel

• Income tax refund; change to $200

• 2nd prize; change to $100

• Go to Jail; add 'Railroad cops got you!'

• Pay school tax; change to $450

• Pay doctor's; change to $500

Re-configure any other game features as you wish and then play like normal Monopoly.
