The GMRC collection covers the time period from 1973 through present day. It spans a time period from when a high school kid was on his first railfan outing (seeing the GMRC for the first time) through hiring on in 1981 as an employee of the GMRC for the next 31 years.

The Green Mountain collection is being presented to you in its entirety. You will see GMRC and VRS related subject matter both on the home system as well as off (GMRC equipment in other locations for example). It includes roster images, scenic views and technical photos such as track and signals. It comprises everything from the best to the worst as there was no reason to leave anything out as one man's trash is another's treasure.The coverage via the scanned slide collection is mostly on the Green Mountain itself. After the conversion to digital cameras there was alot more coverage on all divisions of Vermont Rail System.
